Washi tape. The holy grail of stationery. Trust me. There is something so beautiful and calming about it. They come in so many different colours, sizes, lengths, patterns, and… well you get the idea. There is one main rule on this blog, we respect everyone’s stationery addiction, and we don’t judge, because you most likely have a stationery addiction too.
I must admit that I am guilty of scrolling through Etsy for extensive amounts of time, looking at all the deals that are on, and seeing that it is 50% off, with free shipping, with five stars and lots of reviews, and there is only one left. But there are so many different washi tapes on there, that you just want to buy them all. Because who doesn’t need a large amount of washi tapes from an obscure town in Ukraine? Anyway, the amount of will power you have to have to stop yourself from buying washi tapes you don’t need is unbelievable. So far, I have managed to contain myself enough so that my wallet doesn’t hate me, and I have grown quite a collection. It isn’t the biggest in the world, but I am quite happy with my collection, and I very much enjoy using them.

I actually have multiple funny washi tape stories if love to share with you, but I’ll only share one with you now;
For Christmas this year, I received a roll of washi tape. And as I’m sure as you guessed, I was over the moon. When I looked at the pattern closely, I saw that the nine was printed upside down. My first thought was “Oh that’s ok, I can use it as a six instead.” Only to realise about thirty seconds later that, no. I couldn’t use it as a six. And I think that I am more embarrassed that it took me as long as it did to realise I couldn’t use it a six than I am annoyed at the fact that I can’t use that number. But I’m sure that my inner Mr Squiggle will emerge and I’ll find a use for it in one way or another.

This concludes my tangent on washi tapes. What’s your opinion on washi tapes? And what stories do you have with them? Thank you for reading, and I’ll talk to you in the next post!
If you are wondering, I’m pretty sure that all of these washi tapes are mt washi tape. However I cannot guarantee all of them are, and are available in your local stationery shop.
